Successful Social Media Tip of the Day . . . How to Increase Search Engine Engagement
Are you search engine engagement results less than superior? Would you like to increase your search engine ranking and engagement? Here are a 8 tips to help . . .
1. Are you including links that are relevant and of high quality ?
Linking your post content to reliable top websites is something to keep in mind when you are blogging. It tells search engines that you are producing quality content as well.
2. Who are you writing for ?
If you are writing for search engines, your content will not appear natural and you may loose viewers. Keep your focus on content that relates to your business products or services. This is the best way to earn links and search engine ranking.
3. Is your title stuffed with Keywords ?
Search engines see right through this practice. If your keywords do not fit in with the content message, that will be a red flag to a search engine. You will loose creditability and may even be penalized by a search engine.
4. Are you including images with your post ?
Adding an image can add search engine value to your post. Make sure you have permission to use the image before posting or use a paid site like Shutterstock. Be sure any image you use is of good quality. The more colorful the better.
5. Are your other social media sites linked to your posts?
It may seem like simple advice but remember to link all your posts to your other social media sites like Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook and LinkedIn. Get as much exposure for your post as you can. If you are not using other social media sites like Tumblr, find out what new sites are gaining popularity which relate to your business demographics and use those sites to share your posts.
6. Do you have a Site Map?
Use Google’s Webmaster Tools to make a site map. This free tool will also show you Google Analytics so you can learn what visitors are doing on your site and how effective your keywords are along with much more valuable information.
7. Are you adding a Call To Action on each post ?
After the viewer reads your post you should be asking them to complete a form or like the post and share it with others. Ask viewers to add comments or sign up for your email letter. Try to engage your viewers in some way.
8. Last but not least – Should you be using Videos on your site?
Consider that pictures are worth a thousand words. Videos are highly engaging and can explain your product or service faster than reading that thousand words. Videos will save your viewer time in learning about your products or services and with YouTube, putting together a brief video (try for 3 minutes or less) to explain what you are selling can be a real asset to your site.
