Here in the United States we are about to celebrate the 4th of July which typically includes summer backyard barbecues and fireworks at night if you are lucky.

Like the World Cup, it has become something to tweet about, Facebook share your photos and create Pinterest boards of fireworks, holiday food and decorations for the 4th of July. The 4th of July has entered the world of becoming a social media holiday which is not a bad thing.

The Today Show revealed that the Star Spangle Banner and God Bless America are the most searched songs around the 4th of July. So what does this mean to you? Use your social media platforms to join the 4th of July social media holiday. Add a Pinterest fireworks board, take photos of the firework show you go to see and tweet and/or Facebook share with your followers. If you have good ideas for 4th of July recipes or party decorations, share those. This is the perfect opportunity to really use and be useful with your social media. That’s what social media is for !
