How do you use color in your webpages, charts or info graphics ? Color evokes certain feelings and relationships. In different countries, a color can mean different concept associations. For example, the United States, we equate the color red with anger or danger. In China, red is the color of good luck. So when you are selling your product or service keep in mind the color association a potential customer may have based on the colors you use on your web pages. Take advantage of existing color relationships, such as using green if you are selling financial services products. A few things to be mindful of when applying color is the type of data you are working with, prominent current cultural color associations and some colors are just plain and simple, hard to look at. Whatever color palette you choose, stick to it and think about your brand. Is your color choice easy to recognize, provoke remembrance and will it communicate the image you wish the viewer to leave with? Also remember to use the same color palette throughout all your social media platforms. Happy Coloring ! That’s all for today.
